Bio

Arie Menes was born and raised in Tel-Aviv, Israel, lived 5 years in Nairobi, Kenya as a child,
and has traveled extensively across Europe, North, Central and South America.
He moved to Seattle, WA in 1985 and has been living in San Diego, CA since 1996.

Received a BFA degree from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, Israel,
1981 with a major in painting where he studied with the artists John Byle, Joseph Hirsch, Dedi
Ben-Shaul, Reuven Berman, Osvaldo Romberg and Pinchas Cohen Gan.

He was the recipient of an Italian-Israeli cultural exchange scholarship from the Italian Government
and studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, Italy with Professor Gullieti in 1982-83.

Received a diploma in electronics (1969) and has worked full-time for 20 years in the
computer software industry as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Manager and Director.
